Today, our 8th graders were excited to welcome Ryan Hoke, a meteorologist from WAVE TV in Louisville, for an engaging presentation about the world of weather. As part of their current weather unit, students had the opportunity to learn firsthand about weather patterns, storm chasing, and safety precautions during severe weather events. Ryan also shared insights into his career, discussing the responsibilities of a meteorologist, the various colleges offering meteorology programs, and how his passion for weather led him to this exciting field. It was an inspiring and informative visit that sparked curiosity and a deeper understanding of the science behind weather!
As an added bonus, Mr. Hoke announced that he will be giving a special shoutout to our students during the 7:30 PM segment tonight on WAVE TV! Be sure to tune in to see some of the photos from his visit.
We are so grateful to Mr. Hoke for taking the time to inspire the next generation of scientists and meteorologists. A huge thanks to Mrs. Wade for setting this up for our students!
