North Harrison High School

In cooperation with Ag Revolution, the North Harrison CTE Agriculture Department and FFA Chapter will have an Open House event for farmers to learn about Planter Technology, MeterMax and Steering & Guidance demonstration strations. This event is on Saturday, November 16th from 9AM-2PM at the High School Agriculture Department. Lunch will be provided. Attendees may come and go during the event as they have time.

Last night some members of our community received a text message with political statements that contained our school logo. This message was NOT sent from anyone associated with NHCSC. It appears to be text message spam sent from a non-working number.

This is a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL for students on Tuesday, November 5th (Election Day).

📢The auction for the two Backyard Studios ends at 6 pm this evening, October 16, 2024 and there will be no reserves. They are now being auctioned off online by Beckort Auctions. The Cougar Band will travel to Jasper (Jerry Brewer Stadium) for ISSMA Scholastic B Prelims. tomorrow (Saturday, October 5). We are hoping to advance to Finals for the 4th year in a row and the kids have been working very hard and are the best the band has been in several years. If you're a glutton for punishment and have nothing better to do in the morning, we'd love a big send-off in front of the high school at 7:15-7:30. If you want to come watch, we will perform at 11:26am. Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for students and cash and card are accepted. This is a reminder that Friday, October 4th is the last day of the grading period. Fall break will take place from October 7th-October 11th. Classes will resume on Monday, October 14th. Have a safe and enjoyable break!

Ms. Holzbog's Kinesiology and Human Performance classes tried their hands at archery this week. They learned about body alignment, muscle recruitment, and shot sequence. Thank you to Mrs. First for bringing this opportunity to our students!

The 2023-2024 After School Photography Club has an art show right now through the end of September displaying their work from last year. Thank you to the Harrison County Library for allowing us to photograph their safe, to the NHHS library for the tabletop easels, and to Kent Java for the chance to display their work!

The boil water advisory has been lifted at all NHCS buildings.

NHCSC Families, There is a boil water advisory for ALL NHCS SCHOOLS until further notice. Students are encouraged to bring water bottles from home the next few days. Water bottles will be provided on an as needed basis.

Reminder: There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 2nd (Labor Day). Also, please check that all forms for your student(s) are completed and updated in Harmony (demographics, reunification, contact information, etc.). Have a great long weekend!

The North Harrison High School construction classes have completed 2 backyard studios that are currently available for purchase. They are both 8x8 fully finished structures with easy hookup electricity. They would be perfect for anyone wanting to add an office, she-shed, pool house, or extra space to their existing home or business. 📢⚾ North Harrison Baseball has an EXCITING Announcement!⚾📢 The North Harrison Baseball coaching staff and players want to welcome back all North Harrison baseball alumni players and coaches for an alumni softball game. We want to take the time to reconnect the past with the past and the past with the current Cougars. Teams will be split depending on the number of alumni who sign up for the game. If there are any alumni who wish to participate, but who are unable to play in the game, we can always use umpires, team coaches and a peanut gallery! We hope to see EVERYONE there!
