REMINDER: 5th Grade students come to the Middle School Band Room to try out instruments you can play in Band next year! Follow signs for the Softball Field and enter Door M17.


Farmer Abby from Lueken Farms visited Mrs. First preschool and Ms. Leffler’s 1st grade classrooms. She shared about Dairy Farming. She even helped the kids make their own chocolate and strawberry milk. Mrs. First and Ms. Leffler’s classes adopted a cow for their classroom through Discover Dairy.











Just a reminder that the NH FFA and Harrison County Farm Bureau will be hosting the 50¢ Breakfast tomorrow, Saturday, February 24, from 7am - 9am in the NHHS Cafeteria.


Fifth grade families it's time to start thinking about middle school! On Tuesday, March 19th, Conrad Music will be at the middle school band room for your child to try out the different band instruments, see where band class is held, and meet the band teachers, Mrs. Gordon and Mr. Jaurequi! Conrad Music will be on hand to set up rentals or Mrs. Gordon can make a note to have a school instrument available in August.

Last week, Mrs. Boyd's STEM classes disguised Turkeys so they wouldn’t get eaten on Thanksgiving. Here are the class winners and a few others who we thought should be runner ups!

Mrs. Wiseman's class read How to Catch A Turkey" by Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton last week. Students got the chance to build a turkey trap out of marshmallows and toothpicks!

The North Harrison Veterans Day Assembly will take place on Friday, November 10 beginning at 8:45 am in the NHHS gym. We are inviting all those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
Our FFA will be hosting a breakfast in conjunction with our Veteran’s Day Assembly for all Veterans and their families on Friday November 10, from 7:00 am until 8:15 am in the NHHS Auditeria. We will be honoring our students’ family and community members who are veterans with a commemorative chain around the NHHS gym on the day of the Veterans Day Assembly. Mrs. Dean's class has been working on fact families in math and learning about our community in reading. For our stem activity, students got in groups and created a fact family house. Then, they got to work as a group to create a community out of the houses they made. They came up with several different jobs that are very important to our community.

This project was a CTE/STEM Cross-Curricular Collaboration between NHHS Mrs. Sauerheber's Landscape & Turf class, Mrs. Kerns' Finance & Investment class, Mr. Sauerheber's Ag Power class, Mr. Shiner's Art class, and Mr. Murphy's Construction classes.
